Building Surveyors (London Only)

A managing agent can only price for annual services that can be predicted, and inevitably there will be major works that need to be carried out, and these have to be managed.

We do not charge a percentage on cost, nor do we ever take commissions from contractors. What we do is instruct our building surveyors to do this in the most cost-efficient way, and they are paid on an hourly basis for the work they do.

If you are simply using our accounts-only service, then you may well instruct a surveyor you know to prepare tender documents, choose contractors, obtain tenders, make a recommendation, place the order, supervise the works, administer the contract, do the final inspection and agree the final account. We will simply pay the surveyor's fee account and the contractor's applications as they are received and certified.

You must remember to serve section 20 notices if any lessee will pay more than £250 inclusive of VAT but excluding professional fees.

If you would like us to do so, our own surveyors can do this work for you, and our current fees for a building surveyor are £110 per hour plus VAT.
